An inspection was undertaken of 2 tanks at the DSM chemical plant in North Ayrshire. These were concrete bio-reactors which has previously been lined to reduce the risk of leaks form the tank. The inspection focused on the condition of this lining.

The inspection team entered the tank using confined space procedures and surface supply breathing apparatus. CAN provide an experienced and competent team of fully qualified personnel for this type of access.

Utilising rope access techniques in this way allowed a safe access method to visually inspect the tank liner. The client was provided with a report containing both photographic and video evidence. AutoCAD drawings were produced of the tank and inspection locations.
