Client - BEAR Scotland

Information - A network inspection was undertaken for BEAR Scotland, trunk roads maintenance contractor on behalf of Transport Scotland, the national transport agency for Scotland.
The survey covered all the motorways and major A-class roads in the network covered by BEAR North East. The baseline survey was conducted in order to assess all exposed rockfaces, this included areas of recent rockslip, areas where work previously carried out was inappropriate and other areas presenting risks to road users.
This survey provides a scientific approach to identify potential areas of risk and a list of prioritisation was produced. This enables the client to plan a schedule of works for more than 50 sites surveyed over a period of several years with approximate costs produced.
